Luca’s Legacy Clean Up

The annual Luca's Legacy Clean Up is taking place on Sunday, October 27th @ 8:45am at Port Bouvard Yacht Club, 1 Thisbe Drive Dawesville.

This event is held in memory of Luca, the 18 month old dolphin calf that died tragically in 2019 after becoming entangled in fishing line. Sadly entanglements are becoming more common with a number of dolphin fatalities since the sad loss of Luca.

Now in its 6th year, this clean up part of Tangaroa Blue's 2024 Beach Clean Up Event. Join in with local community groups, businesses and volunteers to make a difference together to clean up the Dawesville Cut and Peel-Harvey Estuary.

There will be a range of community stalls, coffee van, kids’ activities, prizes and a free sausage sizzle for all clean-up participants.

Clean up equipment is provided just bring along your family, friends and your enthusiasm to make a difference!
