We have partnered with the Salvation Army to make loads lighter and smiles brighter this Christmas season. We aim to bless 1200 families in our local community.

One of the things that makes Waikiki Private Hospital great is that they genuinely care for their patients and each other. This year they want to come together and care for our community in the same way.

Currently Rockingham & Surrounds is experiencing a mass volume of homelessness and our domestic violence statistics are showing exponential growth, the cost-of-living crises is seeing a lot of families struggling to maintain living standards and Christmas will look a lot different this year to some, than the years before.

There's so many different ways you can get involved and bless someone through our Christmas Appeal:
1. We are collecting any unwrapped gifts for ages 0-99. Gifts can be toys for any ages - including Lego, dolls, bikes, fishing gear, scooters, skateboards, teddies, Play Doh, cars etc., gift vouchers (think teenagers) for movies, paintball, surf lessons, beauty, dinner experience, Aqua Parks etc., books, perfumes, candles, make-up, bath bombs, anything you'd love under your tree - we want to put under someone else's too.

2. A gift of food - any and all non-perishable food items as well as Christmas items. Lollie stockings, Christmas Treats, etc.

3. Personal Hygiene Items - Any and all personal care items that you would use on a daily basis, Facial wash, Moisturisers, sunscreen, deodorant, perfume, make-up, shaving gel, razors, hairspray, etc. Partnering with "Share the Dignity" consider packing a new or pre-loved handbag with goodies you will ordinarily find in yours. These items doesn't need to come in a bag and loose items will be extremely appreciated as well. Think a lippie, sanitary items, hand cream, etc.

4. The gift of a good night's sleep - consider donating new or pre-loved camping gear. Small tents, Backpacks, Sleeping bags, portable cookers, solar battery chargers, lanterns, etc.

5. Bless a new Mumma - We would love new or your pre-loved baby furniture and baby items. Cots, prams, rocking chair, feeding chairs, walkers, carriers, etc., any baby personal care items as well as items for a new Mum.

6. If you're a business that want to get involved and/or perhaps you offer services that you can bless someone with for Christmas or perhaps a local coffee shop with some coffee vouchers. Perhaps you own a local Surf school or you're the president of a sporting club and want to gift a kid a season of sport with your club, maybe you own a local hair salon and would consider gifting a shampoo and blow dry to someone, if any of this sound like you, we would love to hear from you and see how we can partner with you.

7. Perhaps you know of a family that you would like to nominate that needs a little extra love this year - It would be wonderful to be able to help them too.

8. Sharing the Christmas Appeal with friends and family is so incredibly valuable and this is another way to get involved.

We will be collecting all donations Mon - Fri 6am - 5pm until the 13th of December and they can be dropped off at Main Reception.

Very happy to answer any enquiries, questions and/or suggestions - Liz Bossert -  If you have donations, but will struggle to get it to us, please reach out - We can work on a plan. I can be contacted at the hospital on 08 9550 0222 or at lbossert@waikikiprivate.com.au
