A six-year-old boy has died in hospital after he was found unresponsive in a backyard swimming pool in Perth's south.
Joey went missing around 4pm on Sunday from his Booragoon home sparking a frantic search by family and neighbours.
Police were then called to help find the little boy.
Around 5.25pm, Joey was found in a swimming pool in the backyard of a neighbouring property.
Police and St John Ambulance paramedics performed CPR on the boy before he was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital.
Sadly, he passed away in hospital.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
