New rounds of community grants are open for local groups to deliver projects, events and creative ideas that benefit Mandurah and add to a vibrant local lifestyle.
The City of Mandurah is inviting applications for two types of grants to support community-based events and projects; Community Event Support Grants and Community Partnership Grants.
Applications for Community Event Support Grants are open to non-profit recreation clubs and community groups to host events that demonstrate significant economic and social benefits by encouraging attendance and participation, engaging local businesses and helping to create a more vibrant city.
Successful groups can receive up to $3000 to bring their event to life, with previous grant recipients including The Compassionate Friends of Mandurah, Mandurah Triathlon Club and the WA Australian Street Rod Federation for various community events in the city.
The Community Event Support Grants will be awarded in rounds throughout the financial year.
Applications are open now and close on August 6, 2023.
Local non-profit groups and organisations who can provide beneficial programs and services that support the community are encouraged to apply for a Community Partnership Grant.
Through these grants, the City supports local groups and organisations to deliver projects, events and creative ideas that increase community capacity, engagement, participation or skills and training in Mandurah, that meet an identified need or purpose.
Applications for the Community Partnership Grant close on August 30, 2023 at 4.30pm.
Applicants should read the guidelines on the website, and then contact one of the City’s Senior Community Development Officers on 9550 3777 (or email cdo@mandurah.wa.gov.au) to discuss their grant idea.
