Police are seeking information after a fatal boating incident in Mandurah on Friday morning.
At about 1:15am, police were called to the Peel Inlet area, where it is thought an incident in the vicinity of Boundary Island caused two people to be thrown into the water from their boat.
The vessel they were on, which had no one else on board, continued on without them. It has since been found.
Another vessel stopped to assist the two men in the water, before being taken back to the Mariner’s Cove boat ramp where Police and St John Ambulance personnel met them.
Tragically, the passenger onboard the vessel, who is believed to be a man in his 30s, died as a result of the injuries he received.
The skipper of the vessel, a man in his 20s, is assisting Police with the investigation into the incident.
