Gang Crime Squad detectives have charged 16 people with 54 offences in WA as part of a nation-wide crackdown on criminal activity linked to outlaw bikie gangs.

A series of search warrants targeting members, nominees and associates of all bikie gangs across the state were carried out from July 31 to August 6.

This included a raid at the Mongols Rockingham Clubhouse where a motorbike was seized.

A house in Safety Bay was also the subject of a search warrant on August 4.

Officers allegedly uncovered a set of knuckle dusters, an electronic shock device, fantasy, methylamphetamine, cannabis, drug paraphernalia, steroids and cash.

A stolen motorcycle was also allegedly recovered.

A 57-year-old man has been charged with a string of drug and weapons charges over the Safety Bay search.

He is due to appear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court on August 25.

"Western Australia is proving to be one of the toughest jurisdictions for offenders and criminal organisations like outlaw motorcycle gangs to operate or expand their criminal activities in," Detective Senior Sergeant Anthony Thompson, Officer in Charge of Gang Crime Squad said.

"In addition to the arrests and seizures made this week, valuable intelligence was gained which will be shared with all law enforcement agencies through the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission.

"The community of Western Australia deserves to have peace of mind to go about their daily activities without experiencing fear or intimidation caused by OMCG related activity.

"OMCG related criminal activity will simply not be tolerated at any level and the WA police force will continue to use every resource at our disposal to disrupt and prosecute the illegal, anti-social and violent behaviours associated with OMCGs.

"Our message to OMCGs and their supporters is clear: we are watching at all times and you can continue to expect the continued focus of both law enforcement and intelligence agencies."
