A magnitude 5.6 earthquake that hit a Great Southern town early Sunday morning has been felt as far away as Mandurah and Perth.
The earthquake struck at 5.34am near Gnowangerup, which is between Katanning and Albany, at a depth of 5km.
Hundreds of people have reported feeling the earthquake including residents in Perth, Ravenswood, Baldivis, Kwinana and Byford.
Anyone who felt the quake is being asked to report it to Geoscience Australia.
