Rockingham locals are scrambling to get tested for COVID after the Mike Barnett Sporting Complex was announced as an exposure site on Sunday.

A COVID positive person was at the venue on Dixon Road on Tuesday and Thursday night last week between 4pm and 9.30pm.

The Rockingham Hospital testing clinic was swarming with people on Sunday night after the exposure site was announced with several being turned away as the line continued to grow.

On Monday morning, massive queues had already started to form at the hospital and at the Rockingham Train Station car park testing clinic.

The City of Rockingham said the Mike Barnett Sports Complex is open for business after the facility underwent a deep clean.

A list of COVID testing clinics can be found here.
