A man has been charged with 24 offences following a three-week crime spree that spanned from Ravenswood to Perth.

The 44-year-old man allegedly entered a home on Wilghi Way in Ravenswood around 12.50pm on September 9 and stole a number of items while the elderly victims, a couple in their 80s, were in the living room.

The man then allegedly stole a red Mitsubishi Magna from the garage which was later recovered in Thornlie.

Between 4pm on September 13 and 7am on September 14 the accused then allegedly stole a white Isuzu D-max from a government building on Baron Hay Court in Kensington.

The Isuzu was then identified as being involved in a number of aggravated home burglaries in the Lesmurdie area before being abandoned.

About 10.25am on September 27, the man then allegedly broke into a home on Melaleuca Road in Lesmurdie and stole a red Mazda 6 sedan.

A short time later, about 11.15am, police sighted the stolen vehicle on Wright Road in Harrisdale.

"Emergency lights and sirens were activated, however; the driver failed to stop and an evade police incident ensued throughout the suburbs of Harrisdale, Gosnells, Maddington, Kenwick, Cannington, Welshpool, Bentley and East Victoria Park," a WA Police spokesperson said.

"About 12.25pm, the vehicle pulled into the driveway of a home on Massini Street in East Victoria Park, during which time a police vehicle pulled in directly behind the accused.

"As police exited their vehicle, the accused reversed into the police vehicle before driving forwards through a gate.

"Police will allege the accused reversed again at speed, narrowly missing an officer before continuing off at speed."

A short time later, the man allegedly dumped the vehicle on Langer Street where he was arrested after fleeing over several fences.

The 44-year-old Camillo man has been charged with a string of offences including three counts of stealing a motor vehicle, three counts of aggravated home burglary and commit and aggravated assault with intent to rob.

He is next due to appear in the Fremantle Magistrates Court on October 6, 2023.
