UPDATE: Rowan has been located safe and well.
-----------------------------
There is a desperate search for a 19-year-old man, last seen around 1.30pm on Wednesday.
Rowan James Lefevre was kayaking by himself on the Blackwood River from the area of Possy Road near Augusta.
There are concerns for his welfare as he is not an experienced kayaker, and a kayak believed to be Rowan's was found on the river bank with the paddle inside around 6.5km downstream from his starting point.
Rowan is described as 170 cm tall, slim build and short brown hair.
He was last seen wearing blue board shorts, a dark t-shirt, a faded black peak cap and thongs.
Anyone who has seen Rowan or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call Police immediately on 131444.
