Grieving friends of Jady Turner have been caught on video doing a burnout at the Oakford crash site where the 22-year-old died.
Jady was behind the wheel of an orange Holden Commodore ute that was travelling with a red Ford Falcon on Thomas Road around 6.40am on November 9.
His ute then struck the rear of an oversized truck load, causing him to lose control and collide with a Ford Ranger ute, which was the pilot vehicle of the convoy.
Jady suffered critical injuries and was rushed to Fiona Stanley Hospital where he later died.
"The other two cars were travelling far too fast and didn't have the opportunity to stop because of the speed they were travelling," WA Police Commander Mike Bell said.
"I've actually seen the footage of the impact, which we won't be releasing because it's just too brutal and it is just, it is just shattering to watch that."
Friends and family have visited the crash site over the weekend, leaving flowers and cards.
One group of mourners was captured doing a burnout as they left, leaving a plume of smoke over the road.
It caused traffic to stop as the car sped off.
The driver of the pilot vehicle, a 75-year-old man, sustained serious injures and remains in a stable condition.
The 20-year-old driver of the red Ford Falcon and his 25-year-old male passenger were not injured.
The driver from Parmelia was later charged with dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving causing death.
