A brand new community centre in Dawesville is another step closer with the State Government putting a further $3.2 million towards the project.
The WA Government had previously invested $3 million in the project as an election commitment in 2021, while Lotterywest contributed $1.4 million.
The multi-purpose centre is set to feature a main hall with a stage, storerooms, universally accessible toilet, kitchen, office space, a meeting room space with sound insulation, landscaping, and a play area.
"The Cook Government's additional investment in this project will deliver an important facility to the Dawesville community," Regional Development Minister Don Punch said.
"Dawesville is expected to double in size over the next decade, so this multi-purpose centre will become an important asset for the growing population."
