The City of Mandurah has released plans for Stage 2 and 3 of the South East Dawesville Foreshore redevelopment and they are asking locals to have their say.

The upgrade will focus on recreation and play areas including new playground equipment and fencing, shelters and seating, BBQ and picnic areas, exercise equipment, improved pathway connections, educational signage, revegetation planting and additional car parking.

The plans were created based on a community consultation process back in March 2019 where locals identified key focus areas including family-friendly spaces, accessibility, water and land activations and improved amenities.

Construction of Stage 2 is set to begin in the 2024-25 financial year with Stage 3 to be completed in the following year.

Community members are being asked to view the plans and share their comments via the Mandurah Matters website.

A family fun event will also be held at the foreshore on May 10 from 3-5pm where people can talk to City staff about the plans.
