Police release CCTV, composite image after series of burglaries in Secret Harbour, Mandurah, Baldivis

Detectives have released a composite image and CCTV of a man who they believe can assist with inquiries.

Police have released CCTV vision and a composite image as they continue their investigation into a series of burglaries in Perth's south.

Detectives believe these incidents, which took place overnight between June 27 and June 28, 2019 are all linked, and are seeking information from the community to help with their investigation.

The incidents can be broken down as follows:-

1. Sapphire Chase, Wellard – 27 June 2019

Around 9pm two men gained entry to a home on Sapphire Chase, Wellard. They threatened the occupants of the home before locating car keys and stealing a silver Toyota Hilux. A Holden Statesman was also seen leaving the address.

The Toyota Hilux stolen from this address was recovered on Donnelly Gardens in Dudley Park on 28 June 2019.

2. Surf Drive, Secret Harbour – 27 June 2019

At 10:15pm a man entered a home via an unlocked rear door. While the man was stealing a handbag and car keys he was disturbed by a female occupant of the home (aged in her 40s). He punched her to the head before fleeing the property and leaving in a silver utility.

3. Bortolo Drive, Greenfields – 27 June 2019

Around 11pm, a man entered a home via unknown means. The man was disturbed by the two occupants at the home, and he ran out the backyard, over a fence and into a waiting car before driving away at speed.

It is believed no items were stolen from this address.

4. Darwin Terrace, Dudley Park – 27 June 2019

Around 11:10pm, three men forced entry to a home, one armed with an axe. The men demanded car keys from the occupants of the home, before stealing a black 2005 Mitsubishi Evolution sedan.

This vehicle was located abandoned on Peel Street, Mandurah on 28 June 2019.

5. Chepstow Drive, Mandurah – 27/28 June 2019

Between 11:10pm on 27 June and 2:50am on 28 June, unknown persons have gained entry to a home on Chepstow Drive, rummaged through the home and stole a number of personal belongings. A vehicle was also stolen from the address – a grey 2018 Mazda CX-3 Station sedan.

This vehicle was located abandoned on Oak way, Baldivis on 28 June 2019.

6. Eighty Road, Baldivis – 28 June 2019

Around 12:30am, several men entered a home on Eight Road, Baldivis and demanded car keys from the occupants at the address. The men left the house a short time later and stole a 2008 black Holden Clubsport sedan.

This vehicle was recovered later that day on Walanna Drive, Karawara.

7. Kardan Circuit, Karawara – 28 June 2019

At an unknown time during the early hours of the morning, unknown person/s have gained entry to a home on Kardan Circuit, and stolen a number of personal belongings, including a set of car keys. The person/s used the keys to steal a 2002 white Holden Statesman sedan.

This vehicle was later recovered on Towton Street, Redcliffe on 17 July 2019.

Detectives have released a composite image of a man who they believe can assist with inquiries.

Operation Crosshair

Regional Investigations Unit are continuing their investigation into a series of crimes that occurred in late June 2019. During the series, a group of men entered seven homes in the Mandurah and Cannington districts. They stole property from six of these homes. The men also stole five different vehicles during the series. Extensive investigations led them to a new line of inquiry, and detectives now seek assistance from the public. Detectives have released composite image of a man, who we believe can assist with inquiries. Anyone who can help identify this man, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
