Major Crash officers are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred in Waroona, yesterday afternoon (8 November 2018), which resulted in the death of a 32-year-old woman.
About 4pm, a Mack Prime Mover truck towing two trailers was travelling south along the South Western Highway. Near Hall Road the truck crossed into the northbound lane and as the truck started to jack-knife, the two trailers collided with a grey Holden Commodore sedan that was travelling north.
The four occupants of the Commodore were trapped and were extracted by Department of Fire and Emergency Services.
A 32-year-old woman who was the front passenger in the Commodore received fatal injuries and died at the scene. The 43-year-old male driver, and two rear passengers, a 17-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, received serious injuries and were conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital.
The 45-year-old male driver of the truck was not injured.
