Police seize vehicle after alleged Forrest Highway road rage incident

Bunbury Detectives have charged two men as a result of inquiries into a driving incident on Sunday 30th September 2018 in Leschenault that was livestreamed on Facebook.

It will be alleged that at about 5.38pm on Old Coast Road and Forrest Highway the driver of a red Holden utility began to pursue a silver Toyota Corolla.

Vison of the incident had been uploaded to a social media platform and showed the driver of the utility allegedly committing a number of traffic offences.

The vision also depicted the passenger using a baseball bat to smash the driver’s window of the Toyota Corolla whilst both vehicles were still being driven at speed.

As a result a 21 year old man (driver) from Leschenault was charge with;
· Being armed in a way that may cause fear,
· Criminal Damage,
· Reckless Driving and,
· Driver use mobile phone.

A 20 year old man (passenger) from Australind was charged with;
· Being armed in a way that may cause fear,
· Criminal Damage,
· Passenger fail to wear seatbelt and,
· Passenger Body or limbs protruding from vehicle.
·
Police seized the Red Holden utility and other items related to these offences.

Both men will appear in the Bunbury Magistrate’s Court.
