A crash on the notorious Indian Ocean Drive has claimed the life of two women.
Around 1.50pm on Sunday, a Nissan X-Trail and a TransWA bus collided near the intersection of Pinnacles Drive in Nambung.
"It appears the Nissan Xtrail, with three people on board, has turned from Pinnacles Drive onto Indian Ocean Drive, colliding with a TransWA bus, carrying the driver and 34 passengers," a WA Police spokesperson said.
The crash caused the Nissan to roll, coming to rest on its roof.
The driver of the car died at the scene, while two passengers were airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital.
One passenger has since died and the other is in a critical but stable condition.
St John Ambulance officers treated some of the bus occupants at the scene for minor injuries.
Inquiries into the crash are continuing.
Anyone who witnessed the crash, saw either the Nissan X-Trail or the TransWA bus prior to the crash, has dash-cam footage or has any information, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
