WATCH: Kayakers rescued off Erskine

PIC: WA Police

Two kayakers have been rescued off Erskine after spending nearly an hour stranded in the water.

Police received an emergency phone call around 8.40pm on Sunday March 5 from a person who had become separated from two people they were kayaking with.

The pair had fallen into the water after their kayak capsized between Erskine and Boundary Island.

Mandurah Police attended the scene and were able to see the two kayakers clinging to a red buoy.

They then relayed their location to the Police Air Wing who flew over the top and guided a Marine Rescue Mandurah vessel to the stranded pair.

Both kayakers were rescued from the water and returned to shore.

Luckily, neither were injured.
