A winter-inspired maze is on the way to Mandurah.
Opening on Friday, June 28 and throughout the school holidays, the free outdoor maze suits people of all ages.
It will be located on the Eastern Foreshore near Kwillena Gabi Pool until Sunday, July 14.
Mayor Rhys Williams encouraged everyone to rug up, step outside and enjoy everything on offer during the City of Mandurah’s Winter in Mandurah program and support local businesses during the colder months.
“Our local businesses are typically quieter during the winter months, so our Winter in Mandurah line-up encourages people to keep visiting local bars, cafes, restaurants, tour operators and everything else on offer in Mandurah,” he said.
“Keep busy during the school holidays with the incredible Winter Maze then grab a drink or a bite to eat in a local bar, restaurant or cafe, followed by a wander around the Twilight Markets in the Smart Street Mall.
“While the next stage of the Eastern Foreshore is being upgraded in the central and north areas, local businesses in that area remain open and ready to welcome customers.”
The Winter Maze operating times are:
• Opening night - Friday, 28 June: 4pm –7pm (Twilight Markets will also be held in Smart Street Mall from 5-8pm)
• Monday to Thursday: 10am – 5pm
• Fridays: 10am – 7pm
• Saturdays: 10am – 7pm
• Sunday: 10am – 5pm
The Twilight Markets in Smart Street Mall are a must-see with a range of unique items, local crafts and produce, plus food trucks and live music.
The Twilight Markets will be open from 5pm-8pm on Friday evenings during the school holidays.
The City and local venues are also teaming up to bring the Secret Sounds of the City series back this year, with performance dates throughout June, July and August.
These events showcase local bars and restaurants, as well as an array of musical talent including blues, acoustic performances, country, local artists and original music.
