US actor John Amos has passed away at the age of 84.

Amos was well known for his role as James Evans on the 1970s sitcom Good Times. He also portrayed Kunta Kente in the TV miniseries Roots, earning him an Emmy Award nomination.

The actor also had roles in Die Hard 2, Beastmaster, and the Mary Tyler Moore Show... but we all loved him as Mr McDowell aka Lisa’s Dad in the 1980 film Coming to America.

The Foo Fighters are taking an indefinite hiatus after Dave Grohl revealed he had welcomed a baby girl outside of his marriage. The rocker is reportedly working hard to keep his family together and was spotted out yesterday, for the first time since the scandal broke… with his 10-year-old daughter, Ophelia, shopping for Halloween decorations.


Coldplay doesn’t plan to keep making albums forever.

In a new interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe, frontman Chris Martin says the band will make ’12 proper albums’ and focus on touring after that – with their 10th album Moon Music set to drop this Friday.


Clint Eastwood’s latest movie Juror #2 stars Nicholas Hoult, as a conflicted juror – whose conscience could sway the verdict and potentially convict or free the wrong killer.
