The American Music Awards celebrated 50 years on Sunday evening, with a 2-hour tribute show to musicians across the decades.
There was a slew of big-name performers including Mariah Carey, Gladys Knight, Nelly, Green Day, and more.
Plus, a fabulous mashup from Nile Rodgers and Chic which had everyone up on their feet dancing.
Jimmy Kimmel also gave a comical speech on presenting across the years, and how he incorporated the musical artists into his skits.
And Jennifer Hudson gave a moving tribute to Whitney Houston with a medley of Houston's biggest hits.
Speaking of Whitney Houston – her mother Cissy Houston – has passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
The two-time Grammy winner who performed alongside superstar musicians like Elvis Presley, and Aretha Franklin was 91.

Someone else who is in mourning is Madonna.
The Queen of Pop paid tribute to her younger brother Christopher Ciccone after his death on Friday after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 63.
She posted,There will never be anyone like him.”
She went on to reflect on their relationship and how dance played an important role in their childhood and throughout their life, and how it saved them. He worked with Madonna as her back up dancer, personal dresser, and art director until a public feud in 2000. Even though their relationship had its ups and downs, she was with him to the end and said,
"We held hands, we closed our eyes, and we danced. I’m glad he’s not suffering anymore, and I know he’s dancing somewhere.”

More than two years after undergoing surgery to remove a cancerous tumour from his mouth, Australian music legend John Farnham's voice is set to be heard again in a surprise recording.
Farnsy has narrated the audiobook edition of his highly anticipated memoir, with his wife Jill narrating two of the chapters herself.
The audiobook The Voice Inside will be available on October 30.
