Spotify have dropped their top streaming list of 2024 with Taylor Swift crowned top artist again for the second year in a row… with 26 and a half billion streams. She’s also the Top Artist for Australia!!
The top 5 artists list was rounded out by The Weeknd, bad Bunny, Dark and Billie Eilish – with Sabrina Carpenter snagging the most streamed song with Espresso – which had more than 1.6 billion streams!! But Aussies top streamed song was Bensoon Boone’s Beautiful Things.
Controversial podcaster Joe Rogan took out the top podcast with ‘The Joe Rogan Experience – making it his fifth consecutive year on top!
And the Top audiobook category was added this year – with A Court of Thorn and Roses by Sarah J Mass taking the #1 spot followed closely by Tolkien’s The Fellowship of the Rings!!
Speaking of streaming - Beyonce's classic video for "Single Ladies" has just hit one billion views on YouTube.
If you ever wondered how much Mariah Carey makes from her holiday single All I Want for Christmas is You – wonder no more, cos I’m about to tell you. 3 million dollars a year!!!!! That's US!!
This means the song has earned her over $60 million since its release in 1994.
