Australian TV presenter and journalist Simon Townsend has passed away at 79 after a short battle with an aggressive cancer.
Townsend was widely known for creating and hosting the children's show Wonder World! Which aired on Network Ten from 1979 to 1987.
The show, which produced over 2000 episodes and won five Logie Awards, was hugely popular and considered a staple in many households.

More sad news with one of the Nolan Sisters - Linda Nolan - passing away after battling terminal cancer. She was 65.
The singer, along with her sisters Coleen, Maureen, Bernie, Denise, and Anne, who belonged to the Irish family group The Nolans, had a string of disco tunes with their biggest hit “I’m in the mood for dancing’ hitting #4 in 1980.

Robert De Niro stars in the True Crime drama The Alto Knights which sees a pair of Italian American crime bosses - Vito Genovese and Frank Costello - take their grudges too far.
