Dolly Parton’s husband Carl Dean has passed away. He was 82.
Dolly broke the news on social media saying, “Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can’t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy.”
Carl will be laid to rest in a private ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee, with only immediate family attending.
With Cyclone Alfred set to hit Queensland’s coast on Thursday, Green Day has had to cancel their last Australian show set for tonight (March 5) at Gold Coast’s Robina Stadium.
The Band posted the news to socials saying, ‘Hey Australia, with cyclone Alfred bringing some seriously nasty weather, it’s just not possible to go ahead safely. We’re just as bummed as you are. Stay safe out there!’
