Rumours are swirling that British actor Paapa Essiedu is closing his deal to play Professor Severus Snape in the upcoming Harry Potter TV series, a role previously portrayed by the late Alan Rickman.
These rumours have created a lot of controversy for the Potterverse with reactions ranging from concerns about book accuracy to broader cultural and political alignment.

In the books – Snape is described as "a thin man with pale, sallow skin, a large, hooked nose, and yellow, uneven teeth. He has shoulder-length, greasy black hair which frames his face, and cold, black eyes,”… while Essiedu is an extremely handsome black man.
A majority of fans have said that the characters in the reboot should be a true portrayal of the books, while others have voiced Snape is just a character and it should not matter.
Ali still thinks Adam Driver would be the perfect Snape.
Sotheby's is about to auction off some precious sports memorabilia - the first game jerseys were worn by Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.
Yep – up for bid is Jordan's red Chicago Bulls jersey from October 5, 1984 – and Bryant's gold Lakers jersey worn on November 3, 1996, experts predict the two jerseys could go for $20 million combined, with the auction going down on March 21st.
