Gunners & Ali - On This Day
Friday, 4 October 2024 - 3 minutes
Beloved 80s TV host Fiona MacDonald has passed away at the age of 67 after a battle with motor neurone disease.
She and her sister Jackie (Hey Hey It's Saturday) were both regulars on our teles in the 80s, and most of us grew up watching her on shows such as Wombat, Look Who's Talking, Super Saturday with Agro, and It's a Knockout.
In 2021 Fiona was diagnosed with motor neurone disease and spent the past few years raising awareness and funds for the incurable disease.
She passed away with her sister Kylie, and her sons surrounding her, and left a farewell for her family to post to her socials on her behalf when she had 'left the building'.
"I carry your love and laughter with me and hope you’ll remember mine."
Vale, Fiona MacDonald. ❤️
