The Wave's Winter Appeal for Homelessness Awareness Day 2024

Many people in the Peel region don’t have a safe place to call home, and in the winter, these people are more vulnerable than ever and “sparing a thought” is not enough.

Giving… is not about making a donation… it is about making a difference.

In conjuction with West Aus Crisis Care & Welfare Service, we're asking for donations of new, or near new items.

You can drop off donations to The Wave, 141-143 Mandurah Terrace, between 8:30am and 5pm weekdays. Donations must be in by 5 pm Friday, 2nd August, 2024.

What is needed, is new, or near new condition (no used clothing etc.).

  • Tents
  • Swags
  • Foam mats
  • Sleeping bags (new)
  • Thick winter clothing (new)
  • Blankets
  • Doonas
  • Backpacks
  • Non-perishable food items, including coffee & sugar.
  • Ladies & mens underwear & socks (new) 12-14 ladies. Small, medium and large mens.
  • Towels
  • Torches
  • Children and adult footwear. 9-10 adults.
  • Toiletries (toothbrushes, soap etc)
  • Mosquito repellent
  • A4 zip-lock bags or sealable plastic bags to protect documents
  • Old phones (in working condition)
  • Portable Chargers
  • Tarps
