The Wave's Winter Appeal for Homelessness Awareness Day 2024
Many people in the Peel region don’t have a safe place to call home, and in the winter, these people are more vulnerable than ever and “sparing a thought” is not enough.
Giving… is not about making a donation… it is about making a difference.
In conjuction with West Aus Crisis Care & Welfare Service, we're asking for donations of new, or near new items.
You can drop off donations to The Wave, 141-143 Mandurah Terrace, between 8:30am and 5pm weekdays. Donations must be in by 5 pm Friday, 2nd August, 2024.
What is needed, is new, or near new condition (no used clothing etc.).
- Tents
- Swags
- Foam mats
- Sleeping bags (new)
- Thick winter clothing (new)
- Blankets
- Doonas
- Backpacks
- Non-perishable food items, including coffee & sugar.
- Ladies & mens underwear & socks (new) 12-14 ladies. Small, medium and large mens.
- Towels
- Torches
- Children and adult footwear. 9-10 adults.
- Toiletries (toothbrushes, soap etc)
- Mosquito repellent
- A4 zip-lock bags or sealable plastic bags to protect documents
- Old phones (in working condition)
- Portable Chargers
- Tarps
